An in-person consultation is required before proceeding with surgery. A consultation fee of $100 will be applied towards your Phalloplasty.
Wait time for surgery dates is typically within 8 weeks of your consult.
Dr. Schechter's practice is located half an hour north of Chicago in Morton Grove. If you're traveling from out of town to for your surgery, be sure to ask Dr. Schechter's staff about reduced pricing for area hotels as well as ground transportation from your hotel to hospital and/or office.
Financing and Insurance
Dr. Schechter accepts CareCredit and insurance for Phalloplasty, and has an insurance specialist on his team who can assist you with obtaining pre-cert/predetermination.
Dr. Schechter is a member of WPATH and follows surgery guidelines in the Standards of Care. You will require medical evaluation by your primary MD or MD providing hormones and a letter of recommendation from a psychologist or other mental health professional.
