Dr. Del Corral offers RFF Phalloplasty (forearm), ALT Phalloplasty (thigh), MLD Phalloplasty (back), as well as Abdominal and SCIP Phalloplasty (groin). His multidisciplinary team includes a reconstructive urologist, gynecologist and physical therapist.

The staging of surgeries varies and is dependent on several factors. Dr. Del Corral usually performs RFF in a single stage (plus a later stage for implants) but ALT is done over two or more stages. Dr. Del Corral prefers to use tissue expanders in the thigh as the first stage of ALT to stretch the skin of the donor site prior to this surgery. The first surgery usually takes 1-2 hrs for the placement of the expanders.

Vaginectomy is required if Urethral Lengthening is also being performed. Dr. Del Corral uses a Gracilis muscle flap during the Urethroplasty to decrease urethral complications. He uses Coloplast testicular and erectile implants.

Dr. Del Corral can show you photos of Phalloplasty results during your in-person consultation.
